Dr. Hugo Raimundo

Dr. Hugo Raimundo recently joined Jersey Smile Centre.

Hugo is originally from Lisbon, Portugal, where he qualified as a dentist. Following his dental training in Lisbon he moved to the UK, where he worked in one of Central Birmingham's busiest practices for two and a half years. During this period he gained extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry. While working Hugo commenced his post-graduate studies achieving a Post Graduate diploma in Aesthetic Dental Implantology, granted by the University of Central Lancashire.

He is presently completing his thesis for a Master of Science degree in Implantology, at the same University. Following his post in Birmingham, Dr. Raimundo took up a position in Central London, in the Marylebone and Harley Street area, which gave him further experience in Cosmetic and Implant dentistry. He has worked for the last two and a half years in Central London before falling in love with our picturesque Island. It was after visiting the Channel Islands for the first time in May of last year that he realised that a life change was about to happen.

Hugo is a very gentle and caring person who really enjoys dealing with nervous patients and patients with dental phobia. He ensures that all patients gain confidence and trust in their dental treatment so that they can start to enjoy their visits to the dentist. He is passionate about all fields of dentistry and is always seeking more knowledge. Cosmetic dentistry, especially implants, play an important role in his clinical and academic life.

Outside dentistry, Hugo is very active. He enjoys many sporting activities, probably as a result of his previous Degree in Health and Sports Sciences. He enjoys Basketball, Football, Sailing, Fishing and Cooking. Since he moved to Jersey, he and his wife have become keen golfers.
